SABCFLEX CARD INFORMATION

(WEX)

SABC and WEX have teamed up to provide you with the best, fastest service available in Flexible Spending Reimbursements. SABC FlexCard participants can now pay for their medical, dental and vision expenses with the card and funds will be deducted directly from your Unreimbursed Medical account. If you purchase your prescriptions at a major pharmacy you will not need to send in your receipts, just use the card at your participating IIAS Merchant and go.

Some cards are restricted to prescription drug purchases only (check with your employer or SABC). If your card is open to all expenses you may be required to substantiate some medical, dental and/or vision expenses by providing your receipts or Explanation of Benefits. You will receive an email when substantiation is required. Please forward your receipts along with a copy of the email.  An Explanation of Benefits from your insurance company is usually the best documentation to send and may be required. To submit your validation, select submit claim from the main menu above or log into the customer portal. You can submit online or complete a manual request form and fax/mail to our claims department.  If submitting online, please check validation on the online form. And as always, if you pay your expense with another form of payment, you can submit your claim for reimbursement. With our lightning fast service, your “Request for Reimbursement” will be processed the day they are received and deposited directly into your checking account the next business day. Of course, we love visiting with our customers, so feel free to stop by our office with your claim, and we will have you in and out with a check in minutes(see claim procedures).

You have the option to pay using a PIN(Personal Identification Number) when you use your [benefits debit card]. To create a PIN, please call 1-866-898-9795.

To use your PIN at the point of sale, simply select Debit and enter your PIN when prompted. Using a PIN is not required.  You can continue to sign for debit benefit card purchases, just as you’ve done in the past, by choosing “Credit”.
