OVER-THE-COUNTER (OTC) DRUGS AND SUPPLIES

OTC drugs and supplies must be purchased for use by you, your spouse and/or dependents to treat a specific medical condition and intended for use in the same plan year in which you claim reimbursement. Bulk purchases are not allowed.
Examples:
Antacids, Cold Medicine, First Aid Supplies, Smoking Cessation Aids, Allergy Medicine
Cough Suppressants, *Incontinence Supplies, Toothache/teething Medication, Asthma , Diaper Rash Ointments , Liniments , Wart Removal Medication
The items purchased must be used to alleviate or treat a medical condition and NOT for general well being. OTC items such as vitamins and supplements are not generally allowed, unless for the treatment of a specific illness and reimbursement would be based on documentation from your physician. Toiletries, cosmetics and sundry items are NOT reimbursable expenses. Acne is considered a disease and therefore you must have a letter from a doctor stating that any acne medication is for the treatment of acne and not just general skin care.
